Pre-Academy (5U–8U)

Winter Pre-Academy Registration

FOR PLAYERS BORN 2017 - 2016

Our Pre-Academy Program offers a developmentally appropriate training and competition environment.   We follow a proven curriculum designed to maximize touches on the ball.  Players in this program are well-prepared for our Academy Program at 9U.

How It Works

Players are organized into two age groups:

  • 5U–6U (2019–2018 birth year).
  • 7U–8U (2017–2016 birth year).

The program features small-group training once per week with sessions designed by our Technical Director.  In addition, on a second night each week, the children will play small-sided 4v4 games.  

Our Pre-Academy program is offered in the fall, winter, and spring!

Volunteer: We welcome parents willing to serve as coaches.

Winter 2023 Season

  • Ages: 7U–8U (2017–2016 birth year).*
  • Dates: November 6 – January 13 (8 weeks).
  • Format:
    • Training Sessions: Mondays, 530-630 or 630-730pm
    • Games: Saturday mornings.
  • Location: Goshen Soccer Academy (1400 Fairfield Ave, Goshen, IN 46526).
  • Cost: $120.
  • Includes: training, games, and shirts.
* Due to limited spacing, we only offer Pre-Academy to 7U-8U (2016-2017) over winter.
* A limited number of 6U (2018) players may be permitted to participate in our Pre-Academy Program.  All decisions are subject to club approval.
 
Player Development Pathway

When your player ages out of the Pre-Academy Program, the next step in his or her development is to join the Academy Program or the MYSL Rec Program.
